A global investment management company asked Gotham to expand its Citrix XenApp infrastructure to include Citrix XenDesktop, which enables remote users to securely access a Microsoft desktop in their headquarters, remote offices, and DR/Business Continuity site. In addition to Citrix, they wanted to implement:
- Cisco UCS Blade servers
- VMware
- Pure Storage
Adding Pure Storage allowed separation of hardware dependency from its existing EMC platform, while extending the life for one or more years. All products and software were procured and delivered by Gotham.
Using the client’s Gotham-deployed NetScaler and CloudBridge environment enabled this project to be cost effective, growing their existing Citrix XenApp/NetScaler/CloudBridge environment, segmenting their storage platform, adding server horse power, while gaining the functionality of XenDesktop.
